Floor Sweeper Spares

My Sweeper does not hold its charge for very long anymore

Batteries in our sweepers will eventually start to lose their run time after many hours of hard service. If you start to notice a reduction in run time, please run through the following points to ensure you are maximising your battery performance. If, after these checks your run time is still low you may require a new battery. These can be ordered from our online store. If your sweeper model is not listed below, please call our customer service team on 01905 345891 to order your new battery. All batteries are delivered FREE to the UK mainland and we aim to dispatch all orders within 10 working days. Please read our battery replacement guide before ordering, to ensure you order the correct battery for your sweeper.

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged
  • Check for any blockages or debris that may be in the brush bar
  • If you are running the sweeper on a thick carpet, please bear in mind this will reduce the run time as the motor has to work harder than it would do on a laminate surface.

How should i maintain my sweeper?

To ensure your sweeper stays in the best possible condition, clean regularly with a dry cloth and remove any fibers that may have built up in the brush bar and edge wheel (should your sweeper have this feature). It is strongly advised that you DO NOT:

  • Use abrasive materials or immerse it in water to clean
  • Pick up any liquids or use on wet floors
  • Use outdoors in any situation
  • Use any other parts in maintenance of your sweeper unless they have been recommended or supplied by Gtech.

Doing any of the above may render your 1 year guarantee invalid. For full guarantee terms and conditions, please click here.

How should i dispose of my sweeper?

At the end of its life, please do not dispose of your sweeper with the general household waste. Please consider the environment and take it to a recognised recycling facility. For more information about recycling schemes in your area, contact your local council, civic amenity site, recycling centre or visit www.recycle-more.co.uk for information on recycling and where to find your nearest recycling facility.

What type of battery do i need for my sweeper?

To comply with new EU legislation, Gtech now sell sweepers powered by two types of battery - the older (now outlawed for use in new products) NiCd units and their replacement, the greener and easier to recycle NiMH batteries.

If you have a NiCd powered sweeper though, dont worry! You can still buy replacement NiCd batteries from Gtechonline. If your sweeper currently uses a NiCd battery, please DO NOT switch to a NiMH battery.

You can buy both types of battery from our online store however before you do it is VERY important that you read our comprehensive battery guide which covers our entire floor sweeper range and will tell you everything you need to know to make sure you purchase the right battery for your sweeper.
